Pamela Greenwald DVM, MS
Dr. Pamela Greenwald graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She immediately started working at a mixed animal practice in Petoskey, where she became a partner and further developed her interest in ultrasonography, echocardiography, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. Her bachelor’s degree in Fisheries and Wildlife, also from Michigan State University, has been beneficial in her raptor work with Wings of Wonder and the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa and Chippewa Indians.
Believing that everyone should understand what is happening with their pet, Dr. Greenwald has always loved to teach. Not only does she strive to educate her clients, but also she also applied her interest in teaching as an adjunct professor at North Central Michigan College from 2009 – 2014 where she taught Human Anatomy and Physiology and Microbiology and at Ferris State University College of Pharmacy from 2005-2014 where she started the first private practice veterinary pharmacy rotation in Michigan at her clinic in Petoskey.
Dr. Greenwald enjoys emergency work because of the variety of cases and helping very sick pets get back to their family. She also has her Master’s degree in Veterinary forensics and works closely with Grand Traverse Animal Control. In her free time, Dr. Greenwald works on her farm with cattle, pigs, chickens, and goats with her wife, Heather.
