Karen Seiple DVM

Since joining the Bay Area Pet Hospital team in 2011, Dr. Karen Seiple (Dr. Karen) has become a vital member, deriving great satisfaction from helping families and their pets, with a particular passion for urgent and emergency care. A proud alumna of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she graduated with high honors in 2008 and pursued a one-year emergency and specialty internship at what is now BluePearl Specialty Hospital, completed in 2010.

Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Karen led the Northern Michigan Veterinary Medical Association as Co-President from 2015 to 2019, focusing on the advancement of veterinary education in Traverse City for the benefit of veterinarians across northern Michigan. Dr. Karen dedicates most days to working with our doctors and staff, striving to improve our services, client experiences, and the well-being of our entire team.

Dr. Karen enjoys the beautiful landscape of Northern Michigan and is grateful to call the region her home.
